I START MY PCT THRU-HIKE TOMORROW!!!!
But first, I want to share a lovely gesture that my friends put together for me.
They know I am obsessed with ultralight philosophy, and they often make fun of my desire to shed everything from an extra pair of underwear to my toothbrush handle.
So on my doorstep each day for the past week, I have awoken to a new must-have-on-the-trail-and-in-my-pack “gift” for my trip.
Thanks so much to BarnFinder and Guppy for making my last week fun and sharing in my excitement. You guys are the best.

So excited for you. Please be safe and keep us posted to the extent possible. Maybe take a typewriter and paper to mail out – in keeping with your pals’ theme. Seriously, they are funny. A fun week indeed!
