JimmyJam got his trail name from Stephen Colbert.

No, really.

Here he is trying very hard not to seem pretentious:

Of course, this has nothing to do with hiking.

But on a long, twenty-mile day hike when he told his hiking buddies about being on the show, they thought it was the perfect trail name.

And so he became JimmyJam.

And the JimmyJam Hiking Club (JJHC) was born.
