Horseshoe Meadows Road to Tuttle Creek Road to Lone Pine
(9 miles, +100/-1,800 feet).
Almost done!
I awoke with the vigor of someone who knows he will soon be eating at the Alabama Hills Cafe.
Yum!
The sunrise this morning was just as exceptional as the sunset.

And soon I was on the road enjoying first light on the Sierra Crest.

Ironically, though I had very few problems with mosquitoes this trip, at Lubken Road they swarmed me! Yuck!
Fortuntaely, I quickly turned back north on Tuttle Creek Road and they left me alone as I walked into a light breeze.
Soon I was at the Alabama Hills.

I found a trail to take through them that would connect me to the lower part of Tuttle Creek Road.

I really loved the contrast of the low round brown of the Alabama Hills with the high sharp grey and white of the Sierra Crest.

The final bit down was quite steep, but manageable.

And then 90ish miles later I ended my journey at the best diner on the planet.

Yet another amazing trip. I again plotted it on the map as you went. Thank you for sharing! Yes, we have to get out again locally.
