MixMaster and I started this day hike on the PCT with a beautiful early morning conjunction of the moon, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter.

As we approached Rodriguez Spur, we heard gunshots (right when we happened to be talking about gun control!).

We got a liter of water at a tank and then continued our hike. It wound in and out of a wonderful traverse as it headed down to the valley floor.
